Notes:
The Catalog of Tomorrow is a collection of essays designed to inform laypeople of the origins of emerging issues and innovations which will create the fabric of life in the future. Essays are, whenever possible, written by the innovators themselves, or by experts in the field. But the approach is more “Whole Earth Catalog” meets “WIRED” than it is “Scientific American,” or even “New Scientist.” Also, given the Catalog’s beginnings in conversations between Que and TechTV, the title might well be taken to read, “TechTV’s Catalog (of Toys for Boys in America) Tomorrow.” On the other hand, the connection to TechTV also means that many of the book’s essays will also be produced as short videos to be aired on the cable channel.
